Kent County Association of Realtors President Carole Kisner shared some upbeat news about the local real es tate market Tuesday morning. Delaware State News DOVER, By Andrew West
Carole Kisner’s quote already appeared in Wednesday’s Delaware State News.
But it’s worth repeating as we let her elaborate here on the promise of a healthy real estate market in our area.
“You’ve heard all the gloom and doom,” said Mrs. Kisner. “But, baby, we’re coming back!”

Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity President Pat Scanlon, left, looks on as Habitat Executive Director Jocelyn McBride accepts a $500 check from Brian Lessard, president of Lessard Builders, Inc.
On Monday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m., Lessard Builders, Inc., (LBI) presented the first of a series of checks to Habitat for Humanity at LBI’s Dickinson Creek development in Frederica.
“We’ve been planning to support Habitat anyway and felt World Habitat Day was a good time to announce it,” said Brian Lessard, president of Lessard Builders.
World Habitat Day started in 1985 when the UN declared the first Monday of October to be World Habitat Day to recognize that adequate shelter is a basic need for all, according to Jocelyn McBride, executive director of Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity.
