CAMDEN – Lessard Builders Inc. (LBI) will host two free Saturday Seminars on consecutive weekends in Kent and Sussex counties, designed to educate the public on the characteristics of a healthy home.
The seminars are titled What makes a home healthy: What homebuyers should know before they buy. They will include short presentations from industry experts on building, insulation, heating and cooling, Energy Star certification, and information on the lending industry. “These free events are a must for anyone in the market in the next two years for a new or existing home,” said Brian Lessard, president of Camden-based LBI. “Home construction techniques are constantly improving. Our focus is not to sell anything but to educate consumers on the greatest investment most people make.”
The seminar will cover what to look for in newer construction as well as what can be done to winterize and retrofit existing homes to create a healthier environment.
The locations are:
Sussex County: Saturday Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. Oakwood Village subdivision, Lewes. From Highway 1, turn onto Rt. 24 and head west for 5 miles. After the Lewes Rehoboth Fire Station, turn right onto Robinsville Road and turn left onto Conleys Chapel Road, then turn right onto Wil King Road. Oakwood Village will be on the left.
